Houston is getting an out-of-this-world art museum featuring more than 40 alien-themed rooms.

Seismique, a “technology-fueled experiential” art museum, will open at 2306 South Highway 6 this fall, according to a Tuesday release.

The intergalactic playground, 40,000 square-feet, will feature immersive experiences, gaming, projection mapping, sculptures of extraterrestrials, lighting displays, pieces created by Houston-based artists and more.

Seismique will also offer educational workshops on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) for Houston-area students and several private event spaces.

The concept is from the principal and COO of Escape the Room, Steve Kopelman. “Seismique will transport locals and visitors alike to an entirely new and unforeseen universe of creative inspiration and artistic manifestation,” he said in the release.

“The galaxies are designed to stimulate imagination, heighten curiosity, inspire wonder and, most importantly, deliver an extreme dose of fun.”
