Located in the Village of West Oaks, a colorful new art museum is connecting the Greater Houston area to a more modern activity for all ages.
In visiting Seismique, I was truly impressed and inspired by the abundance of colorful arrays of light, numerous interactive displays and the opportunity to have good ol’ fashioned fun!
From a rain room, to a net jungle gym for all ages, to manually operated technology. All whilst built like an intergalactic maze! You’re sure to find yourself feeling and playing like a child again. The approximate 40 unique galleries spanning 40,000 square feet are truly out of this world.
Seismique is the perfect venue to exhibit the works and support established and emerging local artists. Having 65 Houstonian artists and craftsmen involved in creating this exhibit, you’re sure to find a room that speaks to you.
Tour this stellar museum any day of the week except Tuesdays as a guest, or book one of the multiple private event spaces for meetings, events, and live performances of all kinds.
Other than general tours and private events, Seismique also offers educational workshops and technology-driven learning opportunities for local students and school organizations across the Greater Houston area.
While there, be sure to check out the Seismique gift shop for attire, accessories, and gadgets. There’s also refreshing drinks and snacks available at the Cosmique Cafe.
Purchase VIP or General Admission tickets online or at the front desk upon arrival. General Admission tickets sell for $35 for adults and $28 for children. VIP tickets sell for adults $45 for adults and $38 for children.
To get an even better idea of this museum before visiting, or for when you’re walking this new world, check out the Seismique app. The app includes a digital map of the floor plan and information about each room and how to operate the interactive rooms.
What a great new addition to Houston’s family friendly activities!
