Brian Val Habisreitinger is a New Orleans Native with a background in multiple forms of carpentry from fine woodwork to set building. He is also a self taught sculptor working in mediums including wood, clay, stone, and most recently plastic coated styrofoam. He tends to not think really hard about what is in front of him while somehow overthinking the entire project. Somewhere between is where the magic emerges. He is proud of his ability to let the medium dictate its own outcome, and claims he just helps it out. The quote “Do what you love and never work a day in your life,” is his motto.
